IIFA and 3D Storm offer trainings on NDI and TriCaster workflow

Bordeaux, France - June 27, 2019 - IIFA and 3D Storm offer trainings on NDI and TriCaster workflow.

As soon as the first video signal processing protocols appeared on IP architectures, IIFA was one of the first French training centers to have set up training courses dealing with these standards. Partners of major television groups for many years, these trainings target engineering and technology teams.
The objective of these courses is to present the set of technical standards that have been developing for 4 years, with a significant acceleration for 3 years.
Since the end of 2015, the 3D Storm experts have been working alongside the IIFA trainers at the end of the theoretical sessions to present NewTek's approach with NDI.
The maturity of the NDI protocol allowed to immediately present very concrete applications in the field of live video production, especially for news workflows. The compactness of NewTek equipment and the simplicity of network architecture configuration facilitating the implementation of real and functional models from the early stages, unlike other market players who still had standards being defined.
From the end of 2015 to the end of 2018, the 3D Storm team has intervened more than ten times in the various courses organized by IIFA, at the same time NDI protocol was being adopted by more and more professional video market players.
At the end of 2018, the NDI environment has become the most used in many areas of video production and events, IIFA and 3D Storm have decided to present 5-day courses offering a first part on the state of the art and standards on the market and an in-depth second part on the configuration of an NDI network, the operation of TriCaster control boards and the main NDI tools. These trainings are eligible for AFDAS funding, as part of continuing education. The IP Standard part is provided by the IIFA trainers, the second part by the 3D Storm trainers.
Before the end of 2019, two training sessions will take place, the first from 24 to 28 of June and the second from 9 to 13 December.

About NDI

NDI is in use on millions of devices and allows multiple video systems to identify and communicate with one another over IP. NDI can encode, transmit and receive many streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. This benefits any network-connected video device, including video mixers, graphics systems, capture cards, and many other production devices. This makes it possible to exponentially increase the number of sources available for live production switching, without directly attaching to devices, changing locations, or investing in expensive, high-bandwidth networks that simply replace SDI-based workflows.
